Any surveillance system requires 4 components:
1. Camera -- it will record the events you need.
2. DVR -- this is the "brain" of your surveillance system. Set it up to control the cameras (motion activated recording, continuous, masked area recording, etc).
3. Monitor -- your TV, computer, or a dedicated monitor.
4. Power and Video connecting cables. Wireless systems do not require video cables, they do require wireless transmission from the camera and a wireless receiver that will be connected to the DVR.

Some technical data for your consideration:
2.4GHz Transmitters: We use only high powered 2.4 GHz transmitters that can send video signals up to three times further than other transmitters. Caution: There are many cameras out there that use 1.2 GHz transmitters and receivers. This frequency is not approved by the FCC for transmitting wireless video!!
Battery Packs: You have to supply power to wireless surveillance and hidden cameras. This is usually done with a battery pack. Most battery packs can only supply power for up to 5 hours. Then you have to throw that pack away and get a new one. But our 12 volt battery packs last up to 8 hours... and they are rechargeable!
